¡Felicitaciones, Clase 96!

Do you want to promote reuse and reduce single-use waste in the restaurant industry?

Waste-Free Advocates is partnering with Metro’s Choose to Reuse campaign. We're organizing groups of volunteers to do in-person outreach to restaurants and spread the news that they can now accept customer-owned reusable containers!

(SIGN UP LINK IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO WFA TO FIX)

Sign up for the virtual training on March 11th from 6:30-7:30. The training is a requirement to attend an In-Person Canvassing Event.

Canvassing will be in SE Portland on March 22nd from 12- 4pm and NE Portland on April 4th from 12- 4pm. Drinks/snacks will be available. The training will be given in English, but bi-lingual skills are a plus for this volunteer opportunity - though not required.

Both the training and in-person canvassing count as Master Recycler volunteer hours.

Please contact director@wastefreeadvocates.org with any questions.

Sheila Logan, Class 50

Sheila Logan (Class 50) has reached 500 volunteer hours and is now officially a Master Recycler QUINCENTURION! Sheila has done so much over her years of volunteering with the program, but in the last few years she has focused on the Clackamas County Spring Garden Fair and Repair Fairs. You may have seen her around helping to check people and their broken items in for the fair, or when need arrives, putting her jewelry repair skills to work. Sheila has a heart that keeps giving and she makes this world a better place. Thank you, Sheila!

¡Gracias, Sheila!
