Take a seven-week training on the latest information on repair, reuse, compost, toxics, equity, Climate- and of course recycling. Then, volunteer 30 hours to inspire action in your community.

DATE: 7 Wednesdays 6:00 pm -9:00 pm on January 7, 14, 21, 28, and February 4, 11, 18, plus Two Saturdays of facility tours 8:00 am - 2:00 pm January 24 and February 7. Attendance is required for all dates.
LOCATION: The Rockwood Center, 17805 SE Stark St., Portland MAP
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, December 10 at 12:00 pm.
COST: there is no cost to take this course. However, all participants are expected to volunteer 30 hours within their community sharing what they have learned. We take this commitment seriously. Most Master Recyclers finish their 30 hours in 1-2 years. If you are not committed to this volunteer service, you may be better suited for taking the Recycling 101 course through OSU.
NOTE: The Master Recycler Program is a popular course. To ensure a positive learning experience and adequate support for volunteers, class size is limited to 30 people. Applications will all be received up to the deadline and then 30 people will be select on a weighted lottery. All applicants will receive notification of their status in the class and next steps.
