Westside and Clackamas Master Recyclers met last month
Rejoin fellow Master Recyclers at this summer event season kick-off event. We are planning for an eventful summer! So, this is your chance to spring back into action!
We will have tables set up for you to see practice your skills, and get a refresher on topics, how to schedule and check out a kit, and more.
Clackamas or Cities of Portland and Gresham Staff plus Lauren from Master Recyclers will be there!

CERTIFIED/CERDIFICADOS
Two people completed their 30-hour commitment and became officially Certified Master Recyclers this month. A sincere thank you to each of you for your work in bringing important resources and information to your communities!
Dos personas lograron su compromiso de 30 horas y se convirtieron oficialmente en Expertas en Reciclaje Certificados este mes. ¡Un sincero agradecimiento a cada uno de ustedes por su trabajo en traer importantes recursos e información a sus comunidades!
Liana Linhares (Class 67) focused a lot of her hours reaching diverse communities in Northeast Portland at community gatherings like this Elementary school STEM night. She shared tips on food waste prevention, alternatives to toxics, and how to borrow, share and reuse. She also offered recycling presentation to her co-workers, joined a repair fair in Lake Oswego and the Zero Waste Conference.
Liana Linhares (Clase 67) centró gran parte de sus horas como Experta en Reciclaje en diversas comunidades en el noreste de Portland en reuniones comunitarias como esta noche de STEM en la escuela primaria. Compartió consejos sobre la prevención del desperdicio de alimentos, alternativas a los tóxicos y cómo pedir prestado, compartir y reutilizar. También ofreció una presentación de reciclaje a sus compañeros de trabajo, se unió a una feria de reparación en Lake Oswego y a la Conferencia Zero Waste.
Sophie Richards (Class 79) is the first of her class to complete her 30 hour commitment and become an officially Certified Master Recycler! Sophie has been ensuring that over 300 residents in apartments have access to recycling. She coordinated with Property Managers, improved signage and containers, and provided door-to-door recycling information to the tenants. (She is pictured on the right from when she used to work at an event recycling company)
¡Sophie Richards (Clase 79) es la primera de su clase en completar su compromiso de 30 horas y convertirse en una Experta en Reciclaje Certificada! Sophie ha estado asegurar que más de 300 residentes en apartamentos tengan acceso al reciclaje. Ella coordinó con los administradores de propiedades, mejoró la señalización y los contenedores, y proporcionó información de reciclaje a los inquilinos.
