Todos están invitados al Seminario Web para los Expertos de Reciclaje. Vamos aprender una propuesta innovadora por DEQ para modernizar el sistema del reciclaje para Oregón. Esta infraestructura abordará los desafíos del nuestro sistema de décadas de antigüedad. También se propone un sistema que es más efectivo, más estable y más sostenible en donde los fabricantes, los consumidores y las comunidades locales comparten la responsabilidad.

Thank you to the two newly Certified Master Recyclers! Gracias a las dos Expertos en Reciclaje recién Certificadas.
Kris Schultz (Class 74) especially took to the Eat Smart, Waste Less program. She offered tips on food waste prevention at the Garden Home Sustainability Fair, Forest Grove Farmers' Market, and the Winter PlanetCon. She even trekked to North Portland to share her passion for saving our food at the Fix-it Fair. Since gatherings have been restricted, she has been keeping up on her Master Recycler knowledge through several webinars on Environmental justice and toxics reduction. She plans to dive into offering a presentation on Zoom to her women’s college scholarship association.
A Kris Schultz (Clase 74) le gusto mucho el programa Coma Mejor, Ahorrando Más. Ella ofreció consejos conservar la comida en algunos eventos como Garden Home Feria, Mercado de Forest Grove, y el PlanetCon (un evento de reciclaje). Ahora que los eventos están restringidos, Kris esta enfocada en mantenerse al tanto con semenarios web. Tambien tiene planes ofrecer presentaciones en el Zoom.
Elaine Milhouse (Class 76) completed her 30 hours mostly having conversations. She talked with folks from her church about decluttering using pill bottles. She talked with others in lines at the store about desanitizing using less toxic options. She talked with neighbors about how to make masks from reused materials. She also participated in several COVID relief projects through Black churches and North by Northeast Community Health Center. They provided CSA food boxes, masks, and sanitizer along with information about food waste prevention and recycling. She is pictured here at one of their Safe Homes, Healthy Homes events.
Elaine Milhouse (Clase 76) completó sus 30 horas principalmente en conversación. Habló con la gente de su iglesia sobre la tema de como despejar con los contendores de pastillas. Explicó con otros en fila de la tienda como usar desinfectante no tóxico. Y enseñó a sus vecinos como hacer un cubrebocas con materiales reutilizados. Elaine también participó en algunos proyectos de COVID Ayuda con las iglesias y North by Northeast Community Health Center. Ellos proporcionaron cajas de comida, cobrebocas, y desinfectante junto con información como ahorrar la comida y el reciclaje.
