Token Program Administrator - Hollywood Farmers Market

Become a part of the Hollywood Farmers Market community and learn about local food systems, while helping to increase and provide access to local and fresh food for low-income community members! The Hollywood Farmers Market is a looking for a committed, passionate, outgoing, detail-oriented individual to fill our seasonal Token Program Administrator (TPA) position.

The TPA is responsible for operating the debit/EBT machine at the market, selling tokens, providing customer service, and maintaining accurate records of token transactions.  Additional duties include assisting the Market Coordinator and volunteers with breaking down the market, and working with the Market Coordinator and Market Director to ensure accurate token accounting and machine maintenance/functionality. The TPA reports directly to the Market Director.

Qualifications

This employee should be detail-oriented and possess excellent customer service skills.  Interest in community food systems and farmers markets is a plus.

The TPA must be willing to work outside in varying weather conditions on market days and have the ability to perform some heavy lifting, squatting, reaching and other physical tasks.

Hours 

This is a seasonal, part-time position and requires approximately 8 hours per week during the main market season from April through November. 

Hours include onsite staffing at the Saturday market from:

April – September: 7:30 am – 2:00 pm

October – November:  8:30 am – 2:00 pm

Additional hours may be necessary for troubleshooting.  The TPA must inform the Market Director or Staff Committee of any work required over and above the job description. The TPA receives one paid Saturday off per season and no paid sick leave.

Salary

$13/hour
