Free Geek provides adult learning workshops to people who participate in their earn-a-computer program.
“Free Geek would like to offer a beginners recycling class and we need instructors! Our goal is to take two problems and help them to solve each other! We tackle E-waste and the Digital Divide, removing computers and tech from landfills and refurbishing them for communities who wouldn't otherwise have access to tech. Recycling is our foundation and our community would love to learn more about it.”
Check out materials from Portland or make your own kit (be sure an include both multifamily and residential information). This can be a one-time presentation or you can decide to offer the presentation several times with a frequency and stop date of your choice. The time is flexible. Chose an hour and a half session between 1-5:30 on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
