Summary of Position and Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing SOLVE’s Project Oregon program, a year-round, statewide volunteer program that supports individuals, community groups, and government agencies as they lead projects to keep our parks, neighborhoods, and natural areas clean and healthy. The Program Coordinator also works with all of SOLVE’s program staff to support the work of other programs.

Specific Tasks include:

Coordinate, manage, and track results for Project Oregon, a year-round, state-wide volunteer program. Tasks include the following:
Event Coordinator recruitment, relations, trainings, and activities
Collateral material development
Sponsor relations and involvement
Outreach support
Collaboration with partner organizations
Maintain web pages
Coordinate development of training materials, calendars, web articles and final reports for programs
Use SOLVE data management system to manage and track all relationships, outreach and project information


Provide general support of SOLVE’s statewide and ongoing programs.
Tasks include the following:
Provide program support including clerical, database, mailings, and word processing, outreach, copy, and filing, telephone, and fax functions for programs
Prepare materials for all programs. Ship as required
Manage and track/supply inventory. Order supplies as needed
Assist with volunteer events as needed
Oversee program data entry. Assist with other data entry as needed.
Assist with website maintenance
Assist in electronic outreach for events under the direction of the Outreach Coordinator
Serve as backup receptionist, including answering phones and greeting visitors, delivering high quality service to our constituents
Other activities and projects as directed

Skills and Requirements

Requires some travel within Oregon; must have a valid OR driver’s license
Ability to work some nights and weekends
High comfort level and demonstrated expertise in public speaking, event planning, and relationship-building in the context of a diverse audience
Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with others in the planning and implementation of programs and projects
Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive Microsoft Office and database proficiency
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with phone work
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to lift packages of 50 lbs. or more

Salary:
$30,000 to $33,000 a year, depending on experience
