The Development Coordinator (Grants and Contracts) plays a key role on the development team in supporting resource development for Ecotrust’s core program areas in Forests, Fisheries, and Food and Farms. She/he serves as a liaison between program, development, and finance teams providing critical administrative support on grant proposals and reporting, and maintaining accurate financial and donor records.

-Coordinate grants and contract administration process with program, development, and finance teams, ensuring on-time submission of proposals and reports

-Assist in maintaining records in the development database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.

-Manage the master calendar of grant deadlines, to ensure that reports and applications are submitted on time and accurately, and communicate grant deadlines and requirements to responsible staff.

-Work with program and finance teams in the proposal preparation and reporting process to ensure submission of accurate financial reporting and budgeting.

-Provide stewardship materials for communicating with current donors, including regular written updates to corporate and foundation donors and acknowledgement letters, as requested.

-Assist with other fundraising projects and support staffing as assigned.


-Minimum 3 years experience in development, communications, or nonprofit administrative position.

-Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Ecotrust’s mission and values.

-Mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

-Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database and an excellent knowledge of database management.

-Keen attention to detail; strong editing/proofreading skills.

-Excellent interpersonal skills that allow strong working partnerships with a wide variety of program leads and development and communication team members.

-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work successfully under pressure.

-Experience working in deadline driven environment.

-Knowledge of fundraising information sources and of basic fundraising techniques and strategies.

-Good team player, flexible work style, and excellent interpersonal skills.
