Hours: 40 / wk, generally Monday-Friday
Community Warehouse is a nonprofit organization and is this region’s only full-service furniture bank. Our mission is to help vulnerable populations improve the quality of their lives and become self-sufficient by providing them with basic household furnishings. In 2015, we helped over 7,000 people turn their empty housing into more comfortable, functional homes. We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, customer service specialist.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for answering phone call into the Warehouse, scheduling pick-ups and deliveries, and routing the trucks. This position is often the donor’s first point of contact with Community Warehouse.
Provide outstanding customer service skills, expediting donor communication.
Coordinate with Program Staff to identify which items are most needed.
Keep an updated list of alternative donation sites to share with donors when we cannot take an item.
Schedule the trucks with the most efficient route.
Occasionally fill in for Program staff.
Conducts outreach to donor partners.
Delivery routing Monday-Thursday.
Weekly check ins with Program staff about most needed items, excess items, process, etc...
Participate in performance evaluations of this position as directed by Supervisor.
Other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Reports to Program Director: Tualatin.
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have valid driver’s license
Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms.
Present a positive, customer-service friendly demeanor at all times.
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
Must pass background check
