Job Title: Project Manager /Estimator
Job Summary: To successfully promote and secure contracts for DeConstruction Services with contractors, developers, home/property owners, government agencies and others who seek to remove unwanted buildings and/or materials in the course of redevelopment and/or remodeling. Provide potential and current clients with awesome customer service. Directly contribute to DeConstruction Services’ efforts to save re-usable building materials by diverting them to The ReBuilding Center for reuse to achieve sustainable benefits for the social, environmental and economic vitality of the region. Ensure project goals are met. Collaborate with the Department Manager to motivate teams by promoting a respectful, healthy, successful, cohesive and resilient work environment.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
• Work in close coordination with the Department Manager, Site Manager(s), DeConstruction Crew, and Office Manager to develop plans, set project goals, identify opportunities, prevent issues, overcome challenges, and implement improvements using a team approach.
• Provide timely response to all web-requests, emails, phone calls and all other related inquiries and requests for DeConstruction Services.
• Track sales statistics and produce reports to document sales activity and progress.
• Prepare and provide written and electronic quotes for DeConstruction Services after meeting with potential clients and personally assessing scope of work.
• Create project plans by determining time frame, budget, and staffing requirements for each project.
• Collaborate with Department Manager and Site Manager(s) to determine job schedule, priorities, and to assign Deconstructionists to jobsites with specific scopes of work. Establish and achieve financial objectives by developing a budget timeline for each project, scheduling the work, approving expenditures, initiating corrective actions and generating change orders as needed.
• Identify job site hazards. Obtain and post required environmental hazard reports. Provide reports to DeConstruction Manager and Site Manager(s) prior to commencing job. Maintain clear communication with clients, DeConstruction staff and all other parties
involved.
• Provide written and verbal feedback to Deconstructionists regarding project performance.
• Track sales statistics and produce reports to document sales activity and progress.
• Maintain project database and records for each job by keeping orderly electronic and paper
files on all correspondence and paperwork related to each job.
• Enter data of structures into custom software designed for generating projected results on
each project.
• Maintain and promote the professionalism of DeConstruction Services;
• Maintain all required compliances with federal, state, and local regulations and ordnances
with government regulatory and compliance agencies.
• Stay informed on industry policies and regulations by registering and subscribing to
appropriate notifications and publications.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,
reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks.
• Check-in daily on department activities and meet at least weekly face-to-face with
Department Manager to review weekly goals, contract obligations, performance of
completed projects, asses departmental needs, reporting on all major activities, set weekly
goals, and maintain clear communication channels.
• Collaborate and practice good communication with entire DeConstruction Services
department, as well as the overall organization. Participate in department meetings and
other meetings as assigned.
• Promote and maintain clear communication channels among The ReBuilding Center
Warehouse, the Driving Department, the Volunteer Department, and DeConstruction
Services.
• Complete all related tasks and duties as needed to achieve the mission and goals of Our
United Villages.
Qualifications:
• Minimum three years of construction estimating experience.
• Knowledgeable about construction safety regulations and OHSHA requirements in
general construction.
• Sales related experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining a safe and efficient worksite on small, medium and
large construction-related jobsites.
• Exceptional people skills.
• Ability to defuse challenging situations before they escalate.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate highly productive teams.
• Ability to demonstrate grace and humor under pressure.
• Ability to address serious or challenging situations with calm and confidence.
• Demonstrated experience serving client and customer needs.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver on project goals and deadlines
• Basic computer skills and fluency using computer programs required for project
management, client relations and project estimation.
• Enjoy working with the public and people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Deep commitment and passion for the principals of sustainability.
• Demonstrate sincere enthusiasm for preventing construction/demolition waste and the
benefits of reuse for the environment and communities.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.

Compensation & Schedule: Position is up to 40 hrs wk Monday through Friday. Compensation
based on experience and project performance, plus excellent benefits for medical, dental and
vision. 401K after one year. Two weeks paid vacation, six paid holidays and paid sick leave.
Three weeks paid vacation after completion of 5 years of employment.
