Elysium Events LLC. is hiring part time, seasonal event staff to help coordinate and implement sustainability efforts for community events in the Metro region. Events range from charity races and community events to brewery celebrations and music festivals. Come join our seasonal team and be part of the sustainable events movement in Portland!

Elysium Events has been working towards zero waste for almost 10 years, achieving some of the highest diversion rates in the region.  We are a hard working bunch dedicated to the environment and to our relationship with our clients. We are not afraid to get dirty to make a difference while having a bit of fun along the way.

Position:                                 Part-Time Seasonal Event Staff.  This position is seasonal and temporary; hours fluctuate each month through the Summer and fall during weekend and evening hours.

Salary:                                   $15.00/hr  Non-benefit, contract position

Closing:                                  On going, until filled.

Duties:                                    Event staff will lead volunteers, interact with a diverse public, handle event waste streams and represent the face of the company. This is a hands-on, physical position that may require individuals to be on their feet for up to 8 hours at a time. Applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Position Requirements:       Ideal candidates must be able to remain energetic and positive during busy events. Candidate must be able to handle a multitude of tasks. Though Elysium works for many fun clients, our staff remains committed and focused to the sustainability task at hand. A passion for waste reduction is a must, knowledge about the Portland recycling stream is highly desired.

Experience driving a box truck is a plus, but not required.
